ABOUT ME

I live in Milton, Florida. I am currently a fifth grade teacher at W.H. Rhodes Elementary in Santa Rosa County.
As an educator and lifelong learner, I am always looking for ways to grow and improve. I am a National Board Certified Teacher. I enjoy teaching and have 28 years’ experience.  My experience includes teaching grades first through fifth. Having taught at each of those grade levels gives me a unique perspective because I know what is expected at each level.
Currently, according to Florida’s Department of Education, I am a High Impact Teacher. I have been a High Impact Teacher as well as a Highly Effective Teacher for many years. A high impact teacher means I am in the top 30% of both Math and Language Arts Teachers in our state based on student performance and parent surveys. I’m very proud of this accomplishment!
When I taught third grade at Pea Ridge Elementary, I was honored to be selected Teacher of the Year in 2005. Furthermore, I was a finalist for Santa Rosa County’s Teacher of the Year.
I enjoy developing classroom resources for Teachers Pay Teachers. I am grateful and honored to those who use my products in their classrooms.
I live on Blackwater River in Milton, Florida. I enjoy spending time with my husband, Johnny, and our adorable pets. We have two precious rescue dogs, Ezra and Raven, and a rowdy parrot named Skipper. I enjoy boating, reading, biking, and developing classroom resources.
